Our First U.S. Adult Women’s Empowerment Program-Houston

June 24, 2025

Houston is a critical city in the fight against human trafficking, and survivors here face complex barriers to rebuilding their lives. Nomi Network’s Houston program provides a pathway forward—offering job training, career support, and a network of care that helps survivors reclaim their future.

Building on the successful Workforce Development Model from India, which combines life skills with workforce training, our Adult Women’s Empowerment Program is helping survivors learn job skills, access meaningful employment, and take steps toward long-term freedom from trafficking.

Behind this effort is a passionate, dedicated team committed to walking alongside survivors every step of the way. With the leadership of Imicuk, Dionelly, and Dionna, Nomi Network is building more than a program—we’re building a community of hope, resilience, and opportunity.

Imicuk Loyuk — Program Manager

As Program Manager, Imicuk Loyuk leads the launch and development of our adult workforce program in Houston. She works closely with survivors and community partners to build a program that provides trauma-informed support, job readiness training, and access to safe, sustainable employment.

“I enjoy building relationships with survivors, community partners, and my team. Regardless of how much the world advances technologically, we do our best work and have our greatest impact through relationships.”

Dionelly Alcaraz — Case Manager

Dionelly Alcaraz serves as the Case Manager, offering personalized, trauma-informed support to survivors in the program. She assesses individual needs and connects participants with vital services—from mental health and housing resources to childcare and transportation.

“What I enjoy most is building trust with the women we serve and witnessing their growth over time. It’s incredibly rewarding to support someone as they gain confidence, discover their strengths, and take real steps toward long-term stability and independence.”

Dionna Porter — Employment Specialist

Dionna Porter supports participants as they explore job opportunities and begin their professional journeys. As Employment Specialist, she builds strong relationships with local employers and helps participants secure positions that align with their goals and values.

“The thing I enjoy most about this role is being able to make a positive impact in the lives of others.”
