India is facing a devastating surge in COVID-19 positivity cases.
Families in India cannot endure the financial impact of another pandemic-spurred lockdown. Women and girls are already at a heightened risk for trafficking and exploitation, and this current surge adds an additional toll on vulnerable women and girls.
Vaccinations are needed to get India’s economy back on its feet and our anti-human trafficking initiatives back in full force.

We are now donating part of the funds from our Mother’s Day Campaign towards COVID-19 prevention in India.
Along with program development, your gift will reactivate our community outreach teams so they can educate their remote communities about vaccine safety and efficacy. Funding will also go towards health supplement packages and medical support of our trainees, staff, and program partners throughout our base regions of Bihar, Odisha, and West Bengal.

Meet Roshan
When Roshan started her training back in 2012, she was a shy woman with very little confidence. By the time Roshan graduated from our program, she had transformed into a bold leader of change in her community. Today Roshan is an empowered working woman, a Nomi Network Master trainer, a proud landowner, and a mother to her son Rehan and her daughter, Nomi, who she adopted after a former trainee was re-trafficked. Roshan was also instrumental in helping our COVID-19 outreach teams get up and running last year!
In honor of Mother’s Day, we interviewed Roshan to learn what motherhood and intergenerational economic empowerment mean to her. ⠀⠀⠀⠀
Meet Hira
Hira has always dreamt of being a teacher, and she always loved school. But eventually, she had to drop out when her father could no longer afford it. Ever since she was in the seventh grade, Hira tutored the children in her community, but she was told that she would have to give this passion up once it was time for her to get married and tend to her home. When Hira discovered our Workforce Development program, she saw it as an opportunity to keep her dream alive. Today Hira has completed the first phase of our program and is set to start Phase 2! Hira also has plans to purchase a sewing machine and launch a home tailoring business where she can offer sewing classes to the women in her community. It brings Hira joy to know that she can fulfill her dream while helping other women reach financial freedom!

is often in private homes where people are forced into serving and convinced that they have no option to leave.
Commercial Sexual Exploitation (CSE)
affects men, women, and children who are objectified by the sex industry and held against their will through fraud or coercion.
Child Labor
is the enslavement (bonded labor, domestic servitude, forced labor, or CSE) of a child.
Forced Marriage
predominantly affects women and girls who are forced to marry without their consent.
