Kristin received her BFA in Fashion Design from Parsons, the New School for Design, and she has always seen fashion as a gateway for creative expression and social progression. During her time working at ethical fashion brands Maiyet and Lemlem, she was introduced to the idea of “fashion as economic empowerment” through their slow fashion business models. These experiences showed her how the fashion industry could fuel ethical job creation for marginalized communities and eradicate systemic poverty. Today, Kristin utilizes her background in design, writing, content creation, and digital media to champion our mission of ending modern slavery in our lifetime! When Kristin isn’t working, she enjoys studying psychology, dancing, traveling, writing, and art-making!
