Market Access
Nomi Network creates market access for our local partners who employ survivors and women at risk of human trafficking.
Technical Training:
Nomi Network provides hands-on training through a one-on-one mentorship program with experienced product developers in the fashion industry. Training sessions expose the women to new product development and design techniques. They have the opportunity to implement those techniques by creating products that are sold in the global marketplace. In addition, Nomi Network's programs actively engage the women in problem solving and exploring new color and material combinations in product development. The women receive training in conducting quality-control so their products are competitive in the global marketplace. Nomi Network has a specialized curriculum for women who are illiterate with no job experience in the formal sector.
Capacity Building:
Our network bridges the gap between a vulnerable workforce and the marketplace to generate awareness and demand for survivor-made products. Nomi Network's strategy is to partner with existing non-profit organizations and social enterprises that serve our target population. We link these organizations that typically compete against each other for limited resources to create employment channels through product development and sales. We provide them with technical assistance such as product design and development so they can produce market ready products. We introduce women to these organizations so they can secure employment opportunities.
Market Access:
Nomi Network creates market access for our local partners who employ women at risk and survivors of human trafficking. The products are distributed via three channels: 1) online, 2) wholesale, and 3) direct sales. We also create marketing materials and social media channels for organizations that employ survivors to gain exposure in the global marketplace.
Project Beauty:
Nomi Network's programs not only cater to the individual needs and skill-sets of each woman, but also focus on mentally and emotionally empowering the women, many of whom are scarred from the traumas of being sex-trafficked. Nomi Network recently implemented Project Beauty, a self-esteem building initiative that restores identity, self-image and confidence through photography. Nomi Network pampers the women with a make-over and a new wardrobe for the day, and sets up a photo-shoot where they are captured as beautiful, dignified human beings, rather than objects. By providing a holistic approach to human trafficking crisis, Nomi Network impacts lasting, sustainable change in the lives of the women.
Additional Investments in Programs:
One-hundred percent of Nomi Network's profits are reinvested back either into training programs or educational scholarships. In addition to training, we support shelters that provide housing and education to under-aged survivors like Nomi. We offer women various opportunities to explore other careers by connecting them to advanced training and other employment opportunities in their local community.
